Dr Jennie Rothwell, B.A. (Dublin), M.Phil (Dublin), PhD (Dublin)Research Assistant

Dr Rothwell is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin where she continued her postgraduate studies: an M.Phil. in Literary Translation and her Ph.D.

Her current research is focused on Spanish cinema, and adaptation and authorship, with particular reference to films by women directors, an under-researched and emerging area within Hispanic Studies. Her research relates particularly to undergraduate teaching within Hispanic Studies and intersects with the research theme of ‘Navigating Cultural Diversity’. She has published on translation and on Spanish Cinema, particularly on the film director Isabel Coixet.
