Biography
Daniel Pust has been the DAAD-Lecturer at the Department of Germanic Studies since September 2015. Born in Freiburg, Germany, he studied German and English Philology at the University of Konstanz, where he also worked teaching German as a foreign language. He gathered work experience abroad as language assistant at Tongji University, Shanghai, China, as well as at a grammar school near London, UK.
Research Interests
Research interests focus on applied linguistics in the area of language acquisition, more specifically on second language acquisition, as well as on didactics of German as a foreign language with the central interest as to how media can be harnessed for language learning/teaching.
Administrative Responsibilities
Besides teaching German language and literature, the DAAD-Lecturer represents the German Academic Exchange Service and as such promotes studying in Germany, doing research in Germany or in cooperation with a German institution. Most importantly, he can be consulted about funding opportunities.
