Public Fiction Masterclass by Caoilinn Hughes
The School of English at Trinity College Dublin is offering a free fiction masterclass with its current Arts Council of Ireland Writer Fellow, Caoilinn Hughes.
Caoilinn Hughes’ latest novel, The Wild Laughter (2020) was shortlisted for the An Post Irish Book Awards' Novel of the Year and the RTÉ Radio 1 Listener's Choice Award, and was longlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize. Her first novel Orchid & the Wasp (2018) won the Collyer Bristow Prize 2019 and was a finalist for four other prizes. Her stories have been awarded The Moth Short Story Prize, an O.Henry Prize and the An Post Irish Book Awards’ writing.ie Story of the Year 2020.
To apply, email a sample of up to 1,000 words of fiction to wilde@tcd.ie (subject line Fiction Masterclass) by noon, Friday 23rd April. These samples will allow Caoilinn to gear the workshop more specifically towards participants. Spaces are limited. Successful applicants will be notified by April 27th.
