TIME hosts Summer School on Impact Evaluation and Workshop in Applied Evaluation Methods in HealthTIME in conjunction with Irish Aid and TCD, will host the 3rd Summer School in Impact Evaluation (26-29 August), which will provide training in quantitative and qualitative methods for impact evaluation. It will be followed by a workshop in Applied Evaluation Methods in Health. Apply by July 20.

Professor Andrea Guariso publishes in Peace Economics, Peace Science and Public PolicyProfessor Andrea Guariso has published a new article titled "Armed Conflict and Schooling in Rwanda: Digging Deeper" (joint work with M. Verpoorten). The article empirically investigates how armed violence affected educational outcomes in Rwanda during the nineties.

Professor Sean Barrett inaugurated as new Pro-Chancellor of TrinityEconomist Sean Barrett was inaugurated as the new Pro-Chancellor at a ceremony in the Provost’s House recently. Barrett, a Fellow Emeritus of the college, was a member of Trinity’s Department of Economics from 1977 and a senator for the University of Dublin from 2011 to 2016.
