Interviews
The job interview is the primary selection tool used by recruiters and employers. Interviews come in many different formats, although ultimately they are all trying to find out if you have the skills, personality and motivation to do the job, and whether you will fit in with the culture of the organisation. Preparation is the key and in this section you will find tips on how best to prepare in advance of an interview. In addition to the advice on these pages, the Careers Service offers practice interviews, including the option to do these on video. These are a great way to test your interview skills and identify areas for improvement.
