Alumni Career Mentoring Options

Mentoring is for all undergraduate and postgraduate students and graduates interested in developing their career and network.

Mentoring in the Schools of Law and Dental Science is through GradLink.

Connect with all student and alumni mentees through Trinity Alumni Online and start mentoring.

Register with Trinity Alumni Online and connect with Trinity students and alumni. Respond to career related questions. If you are requested as a mentor please respond in a timely fashion.

Key dates: for Mentors of student mentees who wish to receive a Dean of Students Mentoring Certificate of Completion

September 2020 to August 2021
  • Register with Trinity Alumni Online.
  • Respond to Mentee requests via Trinity Alumni Online
  • Mentoring starts when you secure a mentee.
  • Aim to meet with your mentee three times for approximately one hour each time. See Mentor Handbook.
  • Mentoring typically lasts six months.
30th August 2021
  • Students who complete, sign and submit the Tracking My Mentoring Journey document to the Careers Service by August 2021`will receive the Dean of Students Mentoring Certificate of Completion. As part of this process mentors need to discuss the document with the student mentee and co-sign it.
September 2021
  • Celebratory reception for both mentors and mentees at which the Dean of Students Mentoring Certificates of Completion are given to students.

Mentor Guidelines and Mentor Agreement

When you engage in mentoring through Trinity Alumni Online Mentoring you agree to the Mentor Guidelines and Mentor Agreement.
