Dr. Shigeki Nakagome has been developing and applying quantitative statistical methods that make use of genetic data for modelling stochastic processes in evolution and development of the human immune system.

COVID-19 Project: Single-cell transcriptomic profiling of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2

I will apply single-cell genomic techniques to stratify immune cells and identify sub-populations that increase or decrease in COVID-19 patients who develop severe disease compared with those who have mild symptoms.
