Botany graduate appointed as researcher to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
July 15 2010
Staff and students in Botany (and indeed in the School) may be interested to learn that Anna Trias Blasi, who was formally commenced with her Ph.D. on the 2nd of July, has been appointed to a permanent position in the Herbarium of the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew as a Bulbous Monocot Systematics & Conservation researcher. This is a fantastic achievement at any time and an even more impressive one given the huge cut-backs in public spending initiated in the U.K.. Anna’s thesis was on the Systematics of Thai Vitaceae.
