TCD botanists publish descriptions of two new endemic grass species from Thailand in the Taxonomy journal Novon
Atchara Teerawatananon, Sarawood Sungkaew and Trevor Hodkinson (Botany, TCD) name two new endemic grass species, Arundinaria kerrii and Dimeria kerrii, in honor of Arthur Francis George Kerr (1877-1942), the Irish doctor and TCD graduate who undertook large botanical collections in Thailand. The species are classified as endangered and potentially extinct according to the IUCN Red List criteria.
