Yvette Graham is Assistant Professor in Artificial Intelligence in the School of Computer Science and Statistics and has been part of the Natural Language Processing community for over 20 years, involved in a wide range of projects focusing on Machine Translation, Sentiment Analysis, Dialogue Systems, Evaluation of NLP systems and Information Retrieval. In 2024, she took on the lead role of Digital Content Transformation Strand Lead within the SFI-funded ADAPT Centre and serves as Course Director of the Integrated Computer Science Degree in TCD. She has served on several prestigious Program Committees, including ACL, NAACL, EACL and EMNLP, serving at all levels including Program Chair, Area Chair and Reviewer. She was awarded best paper award at the Annual Conference of the Association for Computational Linguistics ACL in 2015.

This work has involved working with a group of approximately 30 world-leading researchers to design scales of system performance to be used to communicate policy makers. The work has spanned 4 years to date and included 3 in-person 2 day meetings at the OECD headquarters in Paris, in addition to approximately 20 online meetings, writing a book chapter for the OECD, designing a rubric and scale to lead other AI areas outiside of NLP, and several presentations to this group. 2020-present
